Altegris Advisors is part of Altegris Companies, which parent Genworth Financial acquired late last year. Altegris provides a platform of alternative investments including hedge funds and managed futures products.

Last October GFWM hired former Fidelity Investments executive Michael Kim as senior vice president of business and channel development to head a new department to support advisors servicing high net worth investors. Kim was a senior vice president at Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services.

Based in Pleasant Hill, California, GFWM has almost $20 billion in assets.
